Stella Weber

Stella Jeanine (Spalla) Weber, 82, of Lansing passed away peacefully at home with family Friday, December 26, 2025. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 7 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing. A celebration of life will be held at the Kerndt Brothers Community Center in Lansing from 12-3 p.m.

Stella was born November 20, 1943, to Herbert and Rosalie (DuCharme) Spalla and was raised on the Spalla Family homestead in De Soto, WI along with 12 of her siblings. Stella graduated from De Soto High School in 1961.

January 12, 1963, John “Jack” Weber and Stella were married. They celebrated 61 years wed and together raised six children, including sons Francis, Anthony, John, and Thomas, and daughters Marie and Amy. Stella enjoyed snowmobiles, bowling, sewing, collecting all things cats, and gardening. She enjoyed reading, and when she liked an author, read every book they wrote.

Stella was a past member of the Lioness Club and enjoyed traveling. She worked in the family-owned John Deere Implement in Lansing from 1976 until 1983 when the business moved to Waukon. She was also an employee of Bartels Hardware in Lansing from 1996 until 2012.

Stella will be remembered for her many acts of kindness and service. She often reminded those who were close to her how blessed she was and how proud she was of her children and grandchildren.

Stella will be sadly missed by her children, Marie (Jon), Frank (Annette), Anthony, Amy (David), John (Laura), and T. J.; her grandchildren, Megan, Zachary, James (Carlin), Aidan, Dakota, Madeline, Jack, Mayme, Michael (Grace) and Katelin; her great-grandchildren, Adeline, Noah, Jasmine, Lilith, Oakley, Axton, and Leon; and her sisters, Veronica, Mary, and Ann.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “Jack”; her brothers, Herb, David, Anthony, Thomas, John and Francis, and her sisters, Jeanine, Rosalie, and Denise.

The Weber family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the kindness and support given to the family by St. Croix Hospice.  Their caring, compassionate staff was the reason Stella was able to stay in her home surrounded by the family she treasured until she was called to Heaven.
