Thomas Francis Kistler, 77, of Chandler, AZ passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. Services were held Tuesday, March 17 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ. Interment is at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.
Thomas was born October 7, 1948 in Yuma, AZ to Charles and Dorothy (Sadler) Kistler. In 1953 the Kistler family moved to Waukon, where his parents remained until their retirement. Thomas graduated from St. Patrick’s Catholic High School in Waukon in 1966. After graduation he attended Loras College in Dubuque and spent his life working in the chemistry field.
Tom is survived by his three sons (mother Georgene Varney): Steve (Ekaterina) Kistler of Phoenix, AZ, Robert (Lacey) Kistler of Chandler, AZ, and Jon (Amy) Kistler of Gilbert, AZ; one daughter, Janae (mother April Kunsler), of Chandler, AZ; three brothers: Jerry Kistler of Mesa, AZ, Dick (Evonne) Kistler of Waukon and Larry (Naomi) Kistler of Lolo, MT; three grandchildren, Emily Kistler, Brayden Kistler and Keanu Kistler; three step-grandchildren, Olivia Jackson, and Addy and Riley Prather; one uncle, Dave (Shan) Wolfram of Clermont, FL; five nieces and nephews; Erin (Chad) Davis, Angie (Jason) Bohnstengel, Jill Kistler, Ronald (Angela) Kistler, and Leona (Willy) Wiggins; and five great-nieces and great-nephews: Madeline and Kelsey Davis, Jacob Bohnstengel, Billy Wiggins, and Evelyn Kistler.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
