The Waukon girls golf team played through a busy week of three events this past week, with all three of them ending up on consecutive days to end the week. The Lady Indians finished third in the four-team Big Rock 18-Hole Tournament Thursday, April 9 before making up a Tuesday, April 7 weather postponement Friday, April 10 and finishing second at that South Winneshiek Triangular. Waukon’s girls wrapped up their whirlwind latter half of the week placing third out of six teams at the South Winneshiek Invitational Saturday, April 11, with three of those teams not having enough players to formulate a team score.
The Lady Indians were next scheduled to host their first home event Monday, April 13 when Central Elkader and MFL/MarMac come to town before also hosting New Hampton Tuesday, April 21 and playing in the seven-team New Hampton Invitational Thursday, April 23. The Waukon girls will then play in a North Fayette Valley quadrangular Monday, April 27 before hosting Decorah Tuesday, April 28, hosting Caledonia and Houston, MN Friday, May 1 and playing in a Decorah quadrangular Saturday, May 2.
