The Waukon girls golf team had just one competition on its schedule this past week, that lone event being its largest competition of this season with 11 teams taking to the course at Big Rock Country Club in Fayette Tuesday, May 5 for the Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) Tournament. With their four scored golfers finishing near the middle of the pack of this season’s enlarged UIC Tournament field, the Lady Indians tallied 431 team points at the 18-hole event to finish in seventh place in this year’s UIC team scoring field.
The Lady Indians will now prepare for their Class 3A Regional Tournament scheduled for Wednesday, May 20 at Manchester for a chance to qualify for the State Tournament.
