Marvin Winters

Marvin J. Winters, 67, of Maquoketa died Friday, May 29, 2026, at Imagine the Possibilities in Maquoketa. A private service will be held. Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Marvin John Winters was born January 21, 1959, the son of Donald and Mary (Boyd) Winters of Lansing. Marvin grew up in Waukon and graduated from Waukon High School. He worked for TASC for a number of years before moving to West Union, then Glenwood, and eventually settling in Maquoketa.

Marvin was a chatty and inquisitive individual and once he learned your name, he never forgot it. Marvin loved going out to lunch with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching old TV shows and listening to music on his GrandPad. Marvin had a special fondness for dandelions. His favorite holiday was Christmas, and he often had his Christmas tree up during much of the year.

Marvin is survived by his mother Mary Winters of Lansing; two siblings, Susan Kuhnke of Baraboo, WI, and Eric Winters of Decorah; a niece, Kimberly (Chad) Stieferman of Jefferson City, MO; two nephews, Brian Rosendahl of Enid, OK, and Mike (Tabatha) Rosendahl of Prairie du Sac, WI; two step-nephews, Brian (Amber) Kuhnke of Soldiers Grove, WI, and Brice (Breanna) Kuhnke of Richland Center, WI; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Winters; his grandparents Marvin and Rosena Winters and John and Ermina Boyd; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
