Jeremy Snitker
Jeremy J. Snitker, age 51, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 26, 2026, after a motorcycle accident that took place in Dunn County, WI. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Jeremy’s memory in true fashion; with stories, laughter, and a toast to a life well-lived. Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family during this incredibly difficult time.
Jeremy Joseph Snitker was born August 4, 1974, in Nebraska to his loving parents, Bruce and Connie Snitker. Throughout his life, he made a home and left a lasting impression on communities across the Midwest, living in Prairie Farm, WI and Clear Lake, WI, as well as Cresco and Waukon in Iowa.
A natural jokester with a magnetic personality, Jeremy lived for the simple pleasures in life. He was incredibly skilled with his hands, sharing a deep love for welding and fixing vehicles. He was happiest when he was creating or repairing things, out riding his motorcycle, and raising a cold can of Busch Light with friends and family.
Above all, Jeremy loved making people laugh. His quick wit, sharp humor, and booming laugh could brighten even the darkest of days, and he will be remembered by all who knew him as the life of the party.
Jeremy’s greatest legacy is his family. He is survived by his beloved children: Trevor Snitker (Eza), Tristin Hennessey (and her husband Chip), Mercadez Keller (Landen), and Hannah Grimm (Kaeleigh). He was the incredibly proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Lorelai, Marilynn, Madilynn, Leighton, and Charlie. He also leaves behind his parents, Bruce and Connie Snitker of Harpers Ferry; his brother Josh Snitker (and his wife Erica); his sister Tami Snitker; and his nephews Camden and Garrett Snitker; along with a wide network of extended family and lifelong friends who will all miss him dearly.
Jeremy was welcomed into eternity by those who preceded him in death: his paternal grandparents, Nate Snitker and JoAnn Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Wachter; his uncles, Glenn Wachter, Joe Wachter, and Rick Snitker; and his cousin, Jill Birkenholtz.
