The staff at the Veterans Memorial Hospital (VMH) Postville Medical Clinic recently gifted a handmade quilt to their young patient, Brandon Benda. Brandon has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia cancer that was diagnosed by his provider, Alex Berns, NP at the Postville Clinic. The quilt was made by clinic nurse, Alisha Henderson, and given to Brandon from the entire staff. Alisha states, “Brandon is an extremely tough little boy and he is in our thoughts every day here at the clinic.” Pictured here, left to right, is Alisha Henderson, RN; Brandon and his mother, Courtney Benda; and medical assistants Selina Perez and Sandy Lopez.
