ACSD Board of Directors makes final preparations for new school year, declines pursuing option of making eighth grade students eligible for high school sports

The Allamakee Community School District (ACSD) Board of Education met for a pair of meetings within the past several weeks. Coverage of both meetings appears below.

JULY 23 SPECIAL MEETING
The Allamakee Community School District Board of Education met for a special board meeting Thursday morning, July 23. The board approved change order 22 in the amount of $12,173.45 for the Waukon Middle School HVAC project.

AUGUST 17 REGULAR MEETING
The Allamakee Community School District Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting Monday night, August 17. Under the consent agenda, the board approved the following personnel (pending a satisfactory background check): Diane Regan and Charlene Hagensick, part-time food service; Randy Nordheim and Kris Rausch, volunteer volleyball coaches; Kids Club staff; Kasey Sutherland, 7th/8th grade assistant football coach; Rob Dehli, crossing guard/suburban driver substitute; Amy Raketich, part-time elementary paraprofessional; and Michelle Martin, full-time elementary paraprofessional.

The board also accepted the resignation of Kaitlyn Gress from her paraprofessional position. Approval was also given to the transfer of Dillon Daniel from assistant varsity girls track coach to head varsity girls track coach.
