2013 Dairy Parade offers abundance of "Tanks!" to the dairy industry

The 2013 Allamakee County Dairy Parade traversed the streets of Waukon Monday, June 3, with a number of area businesses, families and organizations providing entries to pay tribute to the dairy industry. Evident in this year's parade were several entries from businesses serving the industry that, literally, featured tanks as their way of saying "tank" you to those they partner with in making their dairy products available for all to enjoy. The long and short milk tanker trucks that haul their precious cargo from the farms to the production centers were represented with several entries, while Lang's Dairy Equipment (pictured at right) also provided an entry that does a "bulk" of the work in preserving the fresh milk on the farm until those trucks can pick it up and haul it away.
