Accidents reported in January

Troendle-
Ryan D. Troendle, 20, Lansing, lost control of his vehicle on Jan. 8, resulting in a one-car accident at approximately 8:30 p.m.
According to the report, Troendle was traveling east on Spring Valley Road, about one mile west of Highway 26, when he drove off the left side of the roadway and entered the ditch. Upon entering the ditch, Troendle's 1997 Chrysler Cirrus LX struck a rock and a tree, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
The damages were estimated at $3,400. There were no injuries reported.

Jones-
Ice on the roadway caused Ryan L. Jones, 19, Monona, to lose control of his vehicle on Jan. 10 around 8 a.m.
According to the report, Jones was traveling west on Elon Road when he lost control on the ice that was covering the road. The vehicle rolled and ended up on the north side of the road.
Jones' 2004 Ford truck was reported as being totalled, with damages at $10,000. Jones was taken to Veterans Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

Gray-
Also on Jan. 10, Lance D. Gray, 37, Waukon, was involved in a single-vehicle accident.
Gray was travelling east on Steinbach Road when he failed to negotiate a corner and slid into the ditch. His 1997 Ford Truck came to rest in a dry creek bed.
Damages were estimated at $5,000. Gray was transported to Decorah Hospital by private vehicle.


Becker-
Denise K. Becker, 41, Lansing, lost control of her vehicle Jan. 15 while traveling north on Schafer Hollow Road, half a mile south of Dry Ridge Road.
As Becker attempted to negotiate a turn, her vehicle spun and entered the west ditch backward. The vehicle struck a road sign and rolled, coming to rest in a field driveway.
Damages to Becker's 1999 Toyota 4 Runner were estimated at $3,500. No injuries were reported.
