Allamakee County Economic Development awarded Aquila grant

Aquila has awarded the Allamakee County Economic Development (ACED) an economic development grant. The “Allamakee Laborshed” project grant for $750 is part of the Aquila economic development infrastructure program. This program is designed to help individual communities attract new business and encourage expansion by companies already located in the area.

“At Aquila, we believe that community leaders have the ability to influence the community’s economic development,” said Bonnie Gilbert, Operations Supervisor for Aquila. “However, they need support to carry out their objectives. Part of Aquila’s role as a community partner is to encourage and support such targeted development efforts.”

The grant from Aquila will partially fund the project.
