60 years of marriage celebrated

Francis and Leonette Kernan will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, July 23, with an 8:15 mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford. An open house in their honor will he held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Wexford Hall. All friends and relatives are invited.
Francis and the former Leonette Mullarkey were married July 30, 1940, at Immaculate Conception. They are the parents of six children, Bob (Mary), Lansing; Bill, Munds, AZ; Jack (Mary Ann), Winter, WI; Jerry (Anne) Stoddard, WI; Marilyn (Dave) Clarkin, Hokah, MN; and Dennis (Jamie), Minneapolis, MN. They have 20 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
The couple requests no gifts.

Golden anniversary is announced

Norbert Duffy and Mary O'Brien celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members on July 9 at Lorraine Sweeney's hall.
Hosting were the couple's children, Bert and Jenny of Minneapolis, MN; Helen and Bill Charneau, Oakland, CA; Greg and Val of Boise, ID; Karen and Tom Regan, Waukon; Dan and Suzy, Davis, CA; and Tom and Gena of Raleigh, NC. They have 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Norbert and Mary were married Oct. 14, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein.
