Area colleges, univeristies announce Dean' Lists

A total of 642 students have made the Dean's List for the fall term at Northeast Iowa Community College's Calmar and Peosta Campuses. Full-time students who meet or exceed a 3.5 grade point average for the fall term are named to the Dean's List. Part-time students are considered when they have accumulated an additional 12 or more semester credits and continue to be eligible for honors status each time they accumulate an additional 12 or more semester credits.

Loras College, Dubuque
DUBUQUE, IOWA- -Loras College Vice President for Academic Affairs, Cheryl R. Jacobsen, Ph.D., announced the names of 447 students who achieved Dean's List status for the 2004 Fall semester. A student must earn a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to be recognized.
Named to the list are Elizabeth J. Elsbernd of Postville, Garret T. Lechtenberg of Ossian, Cheri A. Strutt of McGregor and Craig M. Decker of Waukon.
Winona State University
The Dean's List for Fall Semester 2004 at Winona State University has been announced by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Steven Richardson. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must be an undergraduate enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours for a grade) and achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.5.
Named to the Dean's List from Postville was Christie Hammel.
American Institute of Business
DES MOINES, IA -- Carrie Gunderson of Castalia has been named to the Dean's List at AIB College of Business for the 2004 Fall Quarter. To be on the Dean's List, a student must have a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.79 for 12 or more consecutive credit hours. AIB award recipients were honored at a reception at the college on January 22, 2005.
Gunderson is a graduate of John R. Mott High School in Postville, Iowa. Gunderson is majoring in Accounting and Information Technology at AIB.
AIB, founded in 1921, is a degree-granting college of business. The college offers associate degree programs in the fields of accounting, realtime reporting, including judicial and closed captioning, office administration, and travel and tourism. Computer degrees offered include computer network administration, computer network security, computer programming, MCSE, and iSeries 400 curriculum. Business administration degrees are offered in the areas of leadership, financial services, and sales and marketing.
