Bodensteiner involved in Central Fringe Festival

PELLA : Jarrod Bodensteiner of Postville is involved in Central College's Fringe Festival Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 23-26. The festival, dubbed On the Loose, features seven shows acted, directed, organized and produced by more than 50 students at four different venues. The performances are free and open to the public.
Slow Children at Play, Central's new improvisation group, will make its debut as the festival kicks off, Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Graham Conference Center, 6:45 p.m. Three 10-minute plays will follow at 7:30 p.m.: The League of Semi-Superheroes, August Afternoon and Arabian Nights.
Performances continue Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Cox-Snow Recital Hall as Fight Dreams, Reverse Transcription, Arabian Nights and Little Hero of Holland will show starting at 7:30 p.m.
Maytag Student Center's Grand Central Station welcomes The League of Semi-Superheroes, Little Hero of Holland, August Afternoon and 1-900-Desperate, Friday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
The festival wraps up with performances Saturday, Feb. 26. The improve group, Slow Children at Play, open the stage at 6:45 p.m. in the Mr. B Studio in Kruidenier Center.Reverse Transcription, Fights Dreams and 1-900-Desperate follow at 7:30 p.m.
Bodensteiner, a senior, is cast member Scuzzy in 1-900-Desperate and artistic director of Fringe Festival crew. A graduate of Valley High School, Jarrod is the son of Allen and Glenda Bodensteiner.
