Celebrating three years of service in Waukon

Bill Withers, MD and Christy Kuennen, PA-C, have been a part of the staff since the beginning. Withers has been caring for patients in the area for almost 35 years. Kuennen is interested in caring for patients of all ages and has a special interest in well-woman and well-baby care.

Changes have occurred at the clinic and more changes are in store. General and orthopedic surgery services were recently added. Gundersen Lutheran Orthopedic Surgeon James Mueller, MD, and General Surgeon Phillip Yee, MD, now see patients and perform surgeries at Veterans Memorial Hospital.

The construction of the new clinic building is scheduled for completion at the end of this summer. Currently located on the third floor of Veterans Memorial Hospital, Kuennen is especially excited about the move. “While our current location has been great and our relationships with Veterans Memorial and its staff have been wonderful, we have outgrown our space,” said Kuennen. “It is exciting to consider how we will be able to serve our patients even better.”

Gundersen Lutheran Waukon Clinic support staff includes Registered Nurse Barbara Teiskoetter, Regional Site Coordinator Donna Krambeer and Patient Liaison Renee Ewing.
