Community "Tasting Fair" this Saturday in Lansing

GROWN Locally, a cooperative of fourteen farmers in the local area, is inviting the community to a Tasting Fair at the Kerndt Brothers Bank Community Room, 391 Main Street in Lansing, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 5. At the Tasting Fair, community members will be able to taste many of the products raised by these local growers, including vegetables, apples, berries, baked goods, chicken, turkey, pork, beef, eggs and honey.
The growers will be on hand to answer questions, explain different ways to receive their products, talk about their production methods, and just to chat. Everyone who stops by will have an opportunity see the GROWN Locally online ordering website in action, and a chance to enter to win one of the Winter Harvest Baskets of locally raised foods that will be given away each hour.
GROWN Locally is also offering two other Tasting Fairs in different towns in its delivery area during February. Look for them at the Kerndt Brothers Savings Bank Community Room in West Union February 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Decorah Lutheran Church in Decorah February 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.The growers of GROWN Locally look forward to meeting more of our neighbors and giving them a taste of great Northeast Iowa farm products.
