Competition cheer squad captures Badger championship

The Waukon Senior High competition cheer squad scored a first place finish Sunday, Feb. 27 at the Badger Cheerleading 2005 Competition at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis. The Indians were the top team in the Large Varsity division. The event was the final competition of the year for the squad, coached by Terri Kleinow. Members of the team are Brea Baxter, Cheyenne Bush, Amanda Byrnes, Sam Ehrhardt, Ashley Heffern, Amanda Heitman, Heather Herbsleb, Vannessa Herman, Brooke Hesla, Paige Iverson, Ashley Jones, Morgan Lyons, Lindsey McMillan, Shandi Moore, Leah Schellhammer, Emily Schwartzhoff, and Jodi Sweeney.
