Corlett hits hole-in-one

At left: Lowell Corlett of Castalia (second from right) received a gold putter from Birdnow Chevrolet in Monona for hitting a hole-in-one at Tri-City Golf Course in Luana. Corlett hit his hole-in-one on the short par three hole number six on Wednesday, July 8. On hand to present Corlett his golden putter were Birdnow salesman Tom Matt, Birdnow general manager Tom Frascht, and Tri City clubhouse manager Michelle Harbaugh.

Corlett noted that he gives his playing partner for over 30 years, Steve Russett, a lot of credit in his hole-in-one, because it was Russett who advised him on what club to use. "Steve is very detailed," Corlett said. "He factors in the wind, the temp, humidity and barometric pressure." This will no doubt be another priceless memory for the two that they have gained over the years.

This is Corlett's second hole-in-one. His first was on hole number four six years ago also at Tri-City.
