Deadline to become member of Allamakee County Jail Task Committee is this Friday

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors has given its approval to Sheriff Clark Mellick to assemble a Task Committee of approximately 20 Allamakee County residents to participate in the review and planning of current and future jail needs for the county.
Task Committee members would be required as a group to review all phases of the project and provide input and assistance to the County Sheriff to determine jail needs. Task Committee members will also assist in meeting with the public to present information regarding the current facility assessment, the needs assessment and how Allamakee County will address the future needs of the Allamakee County Jail. The Task Committee will also make recommendations to the Allamakee County Board of Supervisors in regard to planning and construction to meet the identified needs of the jail.
