DEPUTIES RESPOND TO ONE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT; NO INJURIES

The Allamakee County Sheriff's Department responded to a one-vehicle accident Saturday, July 29, at a site approximately two miles east of the intersection of Lycurgus and Sunflower roads, 10 miles northwest of Waukon.
According to the accident report, Eliza Bernal, 20, of Elmwood Park, IL, was traveling westbound on Sunflower Road when she lost control of her vehicle on the gravel. The 2000 Ford Focus she was driving hit a tree while entering the ditch, causing damage to the passenger front quarter panel of the car.
Bernal was not issued a citation. Her vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000 in damages.
