September 2 wedding is announced

David and Jeannine Zimmerman of Waukon wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristina, to Benjamin Gralund, son of Chris and Jenette Gralund of Ely, IA.
Kristina is a 1995 graduate of Waukon Senior High and a 1999 graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids with majors in Sociology and Speech Communication. She is currently employed in Extraordinary Markets at AEGON in Cedar Rapids.
Benjamin graduated from Anamosa High School in 1995 and graduated from Coe College this year with a major in Elementary education. Ben will be teaching in the Cedar Rapids area.
A September 2 wedding at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon is planned. A reception at Matter's ballroom in Decorah will immediately follow the ceremony.

August wedding plans announced

Harold and Shirley Colsch of rural Waukon announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole, to Michael Elsbernd, the son of James and Margaret Elsbernd of rural Ossian.
An August 5 wedding is planned at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon.
Nicole is a 1993 graduate of Waukon Senior High School and a 1997 graduated of Luther College. She teaches high school English at Charles City High School.
Michael is a 1993 graduate of South Winneshiek High School and a 1997 graduate of Luther College. He completed a masters degree in organ performance and church music at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. He is currently enrolled in a doctorate program in organ performance at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
