FRANCIS "FAY" SEBASTIAN

Francis "Fay" Sebastian, 81, of Prairie du Chien, WI, died July 16, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.
Francis was born Aug. 14, 1918, in Prairie du Chien, to Leonard and Violet (Rau) Sebastian. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWll, where he received the purple heart in the battle of Normandy. He married Virginia Birch on June 6, 1950. She preceded him in death on May 4, 1994. Fay was a past member of the American Legion in Prairie du Chien.
He is survived the three daughters, Linda Johnston and Lois (Roger) Puckett, both of Prairie du Chien, and Lynn (Vernon Ole') Boland of Harpers Ferry; one brother, Robert (Patricia) Sebastian, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lorraine Strnad; and a grandson, Brandon Sebastian.
Funeral services will be Wed., July 19, 1 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien, with Rev. James Warosh S.J. officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by the Prairie du Chine Honor Guard. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services.
