Guyer family reunion held at Heritage Farm Park

The 66th Guyer reunion was held Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Heritage Farm Park, Clermont, Iowa. A potluck was held. The weather was great- not too hot, not too cold. Some of those in attendance toured the school house and listened to Arnold Guyer tell some of its history.

A newcomer to the reunion was Richard (DIck) Guyer. He told about his great-grandfather, Daniel Guyer homesteading in South Dakota. He will bring pictures next year.

Those attending the reunion were: Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L. Guyer, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Abbott and Isabelle of Postville; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Guyer, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Severson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Knutsen of Clermont; Mr. and Mrs. Ethan G. Guyer, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Guyer and Mrs. and Mrs. Leslie Guyer of Elgin and grandchildren Hannah, Ashley, Kaleb, Tanner and Jenna Guyer of Minn; Clarence Bishop of West Union; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Kleppe and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Guyer of Eagan, Minn. The 2010 reunion will be held at the Heritage Farm Park on the Sunday following Father's Day.
