The 15th annual Have a Heart Day provided by area health providers proved to be another busy day again this year. Family Chiropractic Associates, Veterans Memorial Hospital, and Waukon Dental participated. All three locations were pleased to see that their donated services were appreciated with such high turn out from the public. It was a rewarding day for all.
The annual Have A Heart Day provided an exciting morning for Dr. Linda Carstens and her staff at Waukon Dental. The schedule was full with patients receiving a variety of dental services including check ups, x-rays, treatment for toothaches, and fillings and sealants. As with the trend that began a few years back, more members of families participated, compared to individuals before that. Dr. Carsten’s staff who volunteered time that Saturday included Tracy Stewart, Kay Gavin, Tonja Dougherty, Michele Wood, Joanne Larson, and Judy Kurth.
Valentine’s Day was the theme of the Have a Heart Day again this year. Each patient took home a carnation, along with fruit and children Valentine novelties provided by the dental office. Waukon Dental enjoys the opportunity to offer this day as an expression of appreciation to the community and surrounding residents and looks forward to the same service next February, the clinic notes.
