Heins, Straate named to dean's list at Luther

DECORAH, Iowa: Danielle Heins, a sophomore and Anne Straate, a junior from Postville, Iowa, have been named to the Luther College Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2004-05 academic year.
Heins, the daughter of Mike and Lisa Heins of Postville, is majoring in social work at Luther. She is a 2003 graduate of Postville Community High School.
Straate, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Straate of Postville, is majoring in Spanish at Luther. She is a 2002 graduate of Postville Community High School.
To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D). Students on the list may have no more than one credit hour of "incomplete" and may not have a grade of "F" or "no credit."
Included on the list are 675 students.
Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of 2,600 students, primarily from a four-state, upper Midwest area. The student body includes about 110 international students.
Luther offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.
