Kee Ingredients teaching and doing business again in Kee High Family and Consumer Sciences

Kee Ingredients is Kee High School's Family and Consumer Sciences student-run take-and-bake business, teaching students many aspects of the food production and services industry while also being a licensed food establishment. Students in Food Production are learning about quantitative cooking and business management through the preparation and sale of frozen meals.
The soups, side dishes, breakfast items, entrees, baked goods and desserts are available to the public for purchase. Items ordered through Kee Ingredients are prepared and flash frozen in class, then simply thawed by the customer and baked or reheated according to package directions.
Kee Ingredients will be selling a variety of items throughout the entire 2013-2014 school year. The revolving menu can be found on the Kee Ingredients website at  https://sites.google.com/site/keeingredients/home. Revolving items will remain on the menu all year long. In addition, each month several new items will be added as “monthly specials” and available only during that month.
Monthly specials will be posted at 8 a.m. the first of each month. A variety of entrée sizes are also available to meet the needs of all family types. Kee Ingredients will be offering a company size that will serve 12-15 people, a family size that  will serve 4-6 people, and a couple size that will serve 2-3 people. Some items, such as cookies and French toast sticks, are pre-portioned and sold by the dozens.

Order pick-ups are on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, and it is asked that orders be placed two weeks prior to pick-up. For example, to pick up September 25, orders should be placed by September 11.
