KINDERMUSIK KINDLES LOVE OF MUSIC IN KIDS

Jingling bells, pounding drums, floating scarves, “hooting” owl sounds and little feet moving in time to music. These are just a few of the sights and sounds parents and children experience at Christine Enyart's Kindermusik class in Postville and Waukon. Parents with newborns, toddlers and four through seven year olds can participate in Kindermusik for a valuable learning experience for both the child and the parent or caregiver.
Christine Enyart's Kindermusik offers a complete music program where both children and parents learn through music and movement. Enyart, a licensed Kindermusik educator and mother of four, has directed the children's choirs in her church for the past five years. Christine has also founded and directs the Postville Community Children's Choir for grades three and five. She was also very active in the choir when she was in high school. Enyart will be offering a full program of Kindermusik classes in the fall, including Kindermusik Village for newborns to 18 months, Kindermusik Our Time for children 18 months through three years of age, Growing With Kindermusik for three and a half through five years of age, and Kindermusik for the Young Child between four and seven years of age.
Enyart has been teaching Kindermusik in Postville and Waukon since October of last year and strongly believes that Kindermusik provides a powerful experience for a child. “The many songs and activities in Kindermusik class enhance a child's total development by strengthening physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills at a very early age,” explains Enyart. “And Kindermusik has allowed me to experience the joy of watching children learn and grow through music. Kindermusik creates a warm, creative learning environment for both parents and children.”
Enyart is working with Fran Passmore, Nutrition and Health Field Specialist at the Iowa State University Extension Service, to bring Kindermusik to you. Full and partial      scholarships are made available by HAWK Community Empowerment grant. Created by early childhood music educators and informed by the latest research in child development, Kindermusik programs provide early childhood learning opportunities through innovative music and movement curricula and involve families in the joy of their child's development.
Kindermusik curricula are designed to be developmentally appropriate - each child is encouraged to learn at his or her own pace. The most current research on child development indicates that a child's fundamental learning takes place between birth and seven years. Kindermusik offers a child a broad assortment of activities to promote language development, social interaction, cognitive development, coordination, and to awaken a child's imagination.
