Lady Hawks sweep Clayton Ridge

by Teela Hammell

The Lady Hawks triumphed over the Clayton Ridge Eagles Thursday, Jan. 27 by a final score of 72-55. The competition was extreme, as both teams attempted to surpass one another.
Throughout the first quarter the battle was close, however, by the end of the first half Kee led, 35-29.
The war remained consistent from then on, and although the score stayed close, Kee never lost sight of victory. By the end of the fourth quarter, Kee had a significant 17-point lead.
Kee's offensive numbers were impressive. Jenny Becker had a season high of 23 points, while Chandran Duffy followed with 17. Brigitte Brennan contributed 11 to the cause as well.
Jenny Becker also led on defense, as she managed to rip down 11 boards and scoop up four steals. Courtney Maust contributed defensively as well with six rebounds.
The Hawks now have a record of 10-6, and a conference record of 4-3.
