LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

To the Editor:
This letter is directed to the person who threw our dog, Brown Bear, into the dumpster along the Upper Iowa River.
Even though she has been blind the past two years, she has been a close family pet since she was a puppy. We didn't realize she followed us out the driveway Friday morning, and she would have found her way home if you hadn't pulled your cruel stunt.
We don't blame the sheriff's office for shooting her. They were only doing their job.
We would like to thank the people who tried to help her out of the dumpster; because she was blind, she had a hard time trusting people.
We just want to know how anybody could throw a blind dog into a dumpster. What kind of person are you?
