VFW Auxiliary
The VFW Auxiliary of the Kennth Casey Post #5603 held their monthly meeting on February 21, 2005 at the New Albin Community Center with nine members present. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley Weymiller. Opening ceremonies were held according to ritual.
The Secretary and Treasurer reports were read and apprved. General orders and other communications were read. Draping of the Charter for our sister Rita Krzebietke was done.
Closing ceremonies were held according to ritual after which the meeting was adjourned to re-open March 21, 2005 with Sharon Sires and Shirley Weymiller serving.

Senior Citizens
The New Albin Senior Citizens met at the Town House of Friday afternoon, Feb. 25th for their potluch dinner and business meeting. There were 11 members present. Progressive Euchre was played and Iris Sires won first; Melba Beneke, second and Ray Burke, door prize. Florence Waters, Gladys Bakewell and Ray Burke will play cards with the residents at Thornton Manor on Monday, March 14th.

Next meeting will be a potluch dinner at Noon on Friday, March 11. There will be no meeting on March 25 as that is Good Friday.

The Canasta Club was held at the home of Virginia Knuppe on February 21. A dessert luncheon was servved. Winners were Gladys Richards, high; Joan Meyer, low and Elsie Weymiller, guest.

Barb and Gary Dickinson, Cashton, WI came down on Sunday morning, February 20 and enjoyed the Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast with their parents, Walt and Phyllis Breeser.
