Nomination papers due this Friday for special Supervisor election

Nomination forms by petition for the upcoming special election scheduled to fill the vacancy on the Allamakee County Board of Supervisors caused by the untimely death of chairman Cloy Kuhse are available at the Allamakee County Auditor’s office in the Allamakee County Courthouse in Waukon. The forms require 96 signatures and must be delivered back to the Auditor’s office by 5 p.m. this Friday, May 20. The special election has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 14.
The Democratic and Republican Central Committees have been contacted and asked to reconvene their County conventions to nominate one candidate each. For more information about the special election or the nomination process, call the Auditor’s office at 563-568-3522.
