Nominations sought for March 24 Allamakee County Dairy Banquet

The 2012 Allamakee County Dairy Days Banquet will be held Saturday, March 24 at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon. Every year, top producers from the county are recognized at the banquet. In addition, several other awards are presented that evening.
The Allamakee Dairy Promotion Board and the Allamakee County Extension office are accepting nominations for Outstanding Young Dairy Family, Pioneer Dairyman, Distinguished Dairy Family, Service to Dairy Industry, and Golden Butter Knife. Nomination and application forms for each of these awards/honors and a list of previous winners are available at the ISU Extension office in Waukon or online at www.extension.iastate.edu/allamakee. All nominations are due to the Allamakee County Extension office in Waukon by Friday, February 17.
In addition, applications are being accepted for Dairy Scholarships, Junior Dairy Ambassadors and the 2012 Allamakee County Dairy Princess. Dairy Princess applications will be accepted through March 1.
