Operating room at Neenah, WI hospital named after area native Dr. Thomas O'Regan

Dr. Thomas J. O’Regan was recently honored by Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI for his 33 years of service with the naming of a state-of-the-art multiple birth operating room after him. This high honor was bestowed on Dr. O’Regan because his patients had “experienced an exceptional level of care that was highlighted by his talent for innovative techniques and his empathic nature,” according to medical center officials.
Dr. O’Regan, a native of the Waukon area, is the son of Mary and Maurice O’Regan.  He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Waukon in 1958 and Loras College in Dubuque in 1962. Following his graduation from Marquette University School of Medicine in 1966, Dr. O’Regan joined the U.S. Army. While serving his country, Dr. O’Regan completed a four-year residency at Walter Reed General Hospital and was Chief of Anesthesia and Operating Services at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany for three years. Dr. O’Regan, an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Army, achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his career at Theda Clark Medical Center, Dr. O’Regan served as Chief of Anesthesia for over 20 years.
Dr. O’Regan married Suzanne Hart in 1966. They reside in Neenah, WI and Vero Beach, FL, and they have three daughters and six grandchildren.
