Pair of calls for Waukon Fire Dept.

The Waukon Fire Department was called out on two occasions this past week. The first call came early Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 26 to 934 Old Stage Road, where a car being worked on had caught fire and was extinguished by the Waukon crew.
The second call came Saturday evening, Jan. 29 to 308 Ninth Street SW. A carbon monoxide detector alerted the residents to a possible problem, but upon arrival the Waukon volunteers found no signs of carbon monoxide within the residence.
