ROBERT WEBER

Robert L. Weber, 70, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.
Funeral services were held July 24 at Bethel Presbyterian Church under the direction of the Rev. Neil Mulock.
Interment followed in Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo. Flag folding rites were conducted by VFW Post #1623.
Casketbearers were Mark Lang, Kyle Weber, Jarrid Lang, Jeff Weber, Bill Weber and Bob Weber. Honorary casketbearers were Cody Lang and Justin Collingwood.
Robert was born May 5, 1930, in New Albin, the son of William and Lydia (Beneke) Weber. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1948. Aug. 18, 1956, he married Lucille M. Ingles at Zion Evangelical Reformed Church in Waukon.
Robert worked as a gear cutter at John Deere for over 30 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where he was a former elder. He was also a member of U.A.W. #838. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Toni (Mark) Lang of Waterloo; three sons, Bill (Diane) of Holiday Lake, Bob (Francy) of Olathe, KS, and Jeff (Christine) of Kansas City, MO; and eleven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lloyd and wife, Elaine; and another brother, who died in infancy.
The family was assisted by Locke Funeral Home of Waterloo.
