Meyer, Peggy Perry, Russell Roth, Sandra Ehrhardt, Scott Melcher, Barb

Members absent: Nancy Walleser, Bruce Kubitz, Norman Delphy, Ron Herman,

Fran Gruenhaupt opened the meeting by reviewing the agenda for the evening.
She asked the committee to review the assumptions we have listed and make
it our goal to try to meet these assumptions.

The committee then discussed at great length possible scenarios of repair
and/or building to solve our facilities problems. Virgil Thorstenson had
developed a wonderful worksheet to use during this process. The committee
added, deleted and revised five options. Advantages and disadvantages were
then listed for each option.

The committee agreed that our first and major concern is safety. The
second concern is the future and long term value of our facilities.

Next, the committee reviewed the "Frequently Asked Questions" list.
Answers to the questions were revised and corrected. This revised list
will be reviewed at the next committee meeting.

Fran Gruenhaupt was appointed spokesman for the committee when meeting with
the school board on May 25. She will explain what the committee has
developed and where we are in the process. Three issues she will enforce
are:

1. Safety - electrical, electrical grounding, water/elec. in locker
rooms, and structural,
especially in regard to the Jr. High building.

2. The five options we have developed.

3. Address the $250,000 expense to stop leaks in all facility roofs.

Lastly, the committee was informed that Joe Lamb, safety engineer with
Employees Mutual Insurance Company, will be visiting the Jr. High building
to measure the structural damages. He had measured last fall and will
compare the figures.

The committee is scheduled to meet Thursday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. with the
school board in the high school library. The next meeting will be Tuesday,
May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the same place. All committee meetings are open to
the public.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Jo Meyer
