June 6, “First Aid for Common Summer Illnesses and Emergencies”
Warm weather is full of fun and adventurous activities. However, emergencies can happen. Be prepared. Come and learn about the basics of summer first aid for you and those you care about. The program will be presented by Janet Olmstead, Gundersen Lutheran Community Training Center, a National Safety Council instructor and trainer.
June 13, “Radon - The Invisible Intruder”
Radon is an invisible, odorless and dangerous gas. A quick and simple home test can detect radon. Come and learn how to keep you and your family safe from exposure. Dale Grosskurth, RS, environmental health sanitarian, La Crosse County Health Department, will present the program.

June 27, “Lyme Disease and Other Issues that ‘Tick’ You Off”
Several years of mild winters have contributed to an increase in the size of deer herds. Because of this increase, the number of deer ticks has grown and spread across a wider range. Come and hear Steve Callister, PhD, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation research scientist, as he shares the latest information on Lyme disease and other illnesses carried by the deer tick, including symptoms, treatments, prevention and vaccinations.
