VMH welcomes the Skrade twins

Twins were born at Veterans Memorial Hospital Tuesday, March 1, 2005, to parents Miriam and Paul Skrade of Decorah. Their son, Daniel Blom Skrade, weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 3⁄4 inches long. Their daughter, Annalise Blom Skrade, weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 1⁄2 inches long. Dr. David Schwartz of the Franciscan Skemp Waukon Clinic was the delivering physician. Proud father Paul Skrade stated, “The hospital was great. The nursing staff was especially helpful for first time parents, and Dr. Schwartz was fantastic and helped us have the birth we wanted.” Veterans Memorial Hospital’s Maternity Services Department is again seeing a high number of deliveries this year.
