Walking School Bus returns to Waukon through month of May

The Walking School Bus provides a safe, fun and active way for students to get to school. Both in-town and out-of-town students are encouraged to participate in the Walking School Buses, which are making a return appearance in Waukon this week through the month of May.
The Waukon Walking School Bus will walk to school for four consecutive Friday mornings throughout the month of May, beginning this Friday, May 2. Interested families and volunteers should meet at 7:45 a.m. at the playing field one block north of East Elementary near the Allamakee Community School District bus barn along Fifth Street NW. Walking School Bus routes lead to East Elementary, West Elementary and St. Patrick Schools. For more information contact Stef Perkins at stefperkins@hotmail.com.

The Waterville Walking School Bus has one remaining Thursday morning, May 15. Interested families and volunteers should meet at 7:45 a.m. at the corner of East Main Street and East First Street on the southeast side of Waterville.
