Christine Ward and Troy Mundt exchanged wedding vows Oct. 9, 2004, at Newman Catholic Student Center in Iowa City, Iowa. Father John Stecher officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mary and the late Donald Ward of Waukon and Vernon and Dianne Mundt of Albuquerque, N.M. The bride’s grandparents are the late Emmet and Marcella Ward and the late Emmett and Lillian Schwartzhoff. Grandparents of the groom are the late Henry and Elsie Mundt and Margaret and the late Harold Pesina of Silver Lake, Minn.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Scott Anderson, and her mother, Mary Ward.
Personal attendants were Bev Anderson and Paula Wickham.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Linda Berntgen. Bridesmaids were Michelle Scroggs and Julie Riggert.
Best man was Craig Mundt, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were John Ward, brother of the bride, and Keith Weber.
Ushers for the ceremony were Duane Anderson and Brian Ward, brothers of the bride, Todd Vokoun, and Gary Owen.
Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Ashley Ward and Delaney Ward.
Ring bearers were Allan Anderson, Joshua Ward, and Jacob McCabe, all nephews of the bride.
Soloists were Twyla Bartel and Joe Mattingly. Mattingly also played the organ. Music included “There is Love,” “Only God Could Love You More,” and “In This Very Room.”
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony at the Ramada Inn in Coralville.
Host and hostesses for the event were Scott and Bev Anderson and Linda Mundt.
Ice cream cakes from Cold Stone Creamery were served.
The bride earned her bachelor of science degree in nuclear medicine from the University of Iowa. She’s employed by the University of Iowa Health Care in Positron Emission Tomography.
The groom earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from St. Cloud State. He works for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.
The couple honeymooned in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and reside in North Liberty, Iowa.
