Home ›Waukon FFA members receive high awards at Sub-District Competition
Tuesday, Feb. 22, members of the Waukon FFA Chapter participated in Sub-District FFA competition held at Clayton Ridge High School in Guttenberg. To advance to district competition at Monticello High School March 12 contestants needed to finish in the top two in their respective events. The Waukon FFA was very successful in this year's competition, advancing four of the five events to the district competition while all five events earned a gold rating. Members of the Conduct of Meetings team earned a gold rating and advance to district competition. The team members are: Shayla Troendle, Britney Heim, Caitlin Mellick, Kati Nolting, Bailey Schlitter, Hannah Gesing, Allison Eickelberg, and Alyssa Cooper. Rachel Myers participated in the Radio Broadcasting Contest and received a gold award. In the Job Interview Competition, Kate Kious earned a gold award and advanced to the district contest. Brent Baxter participated in the Ag Sales contest and earned a gold rating and advances to district, and in the Extemporaneous Speaking Event Amanda Myers received a gold rating and also advanced to district competition.
