Waukon High School to present "Catering to Murder" this weekend

Waukon High School drama students have spent the last five weeks preparing for the performances of "Catering to Murder" scheduled for this weekend in the Waukon High School Auditorium. The production will be featured Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. each evening. General admission seating tickets will be sold at the door. This year's production is a mystery thriller play that is more serious in nature than some of the department's previous productions. Joanna Garner, the caterer of a party that is the setting for a majority of the production, is faced with continuous phone call threats to carry out the murderous poisoning of the food she is preparing or her 16-year-old daughter Holly, who is helping her mother cater the party, will face a similar murderous fate. Which one of the wealthy party guests is the malevolent intruder? To complicate matters, Paul, a man Joanna is dating, arrives to confront her that she’s hiding her past from him. When Holly disappears, Joanna realizes she must follow the murderous directions or lose her daughter, but does she?
