Weekend single vehicle accident near Lansing claims Waukon man

Saturday, December 15 at approximately 3:25 a.m. the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a one-vehicle rollover accident on State Highway 9 approximately one mile west of Lansing. A resulting accident report indicates a vehicle operated by Robert Joseph Lenz of Waukon, age 24, was traveling west on State Highway 9 when it left the roadway and rolled over, ejecting the driver.
Lenz was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. He was reported as the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Department. Assisting at the scene of the accident were the Lansing Police Department, Lansing Ambulance Service and Lansing Fire and Rescue.
