Band-O-Rama Chili Event March 17

The annual Postville Chili-Band-O-Rama will be held March 17. Make plans to attend this event and enjoy delicious food and the joy of supporting Postville Community School District’s young instrumentalists. See details on page two of today’s paper.

Widowed, Separated or divorced weekend

Persons who are widowed, separated or divorced are invited to attend a Beginning Experience weekend April 1-3 at the American Martys Retreat House in Cedar Falls. The weekend format is designed to help people who are hurting due to the loss of a relationship. It is open to people of all faiths. For more information call 1-800-876-3546.

Annual meeting for Postville Cemetery Assoc. to be held

The annual meeting of the Postville Cemetery Association will be held on March 17, 2005 at 7 p.m. at the Citizens Community Center. All members are urged to attend.

P.E.O. Chapter FT will meet March 8 at the home of Beverly Schultz at 7:30 p.m. Installation of officers will be held.

World Day of Prayer to be held March 4

Postville’s 2005 World Day of Prayer service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on March 4 with coffee and 9:30 and the program to follow at 10 a.m. See details on page 8 of today’s paper.

Head Start/ Child Development open house to be held

Postville’s Head Start/ Child Development is hosting an open house for fall enrollment at the Center located at 210 South Ogden today (March 2) from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The program is provided at no charge to participating families. Anyone wishing more information about the open house or Head Start/Child Development in general should call 563- 568-4224.

The Postville Head Start/Child Development Center will hold an open house for fall enrollment at the Postville Head Start Center, 210 South Ogden, on Wednesday, March 2nd, from 3:30 to 6:00PM. The Postville Head Start/Child Development is a federally/state funded preschool program that is administered by Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation of Decorah, Iowa. This program is provided at no charge to participating families. Currently there are seventeen Head Start/Child Development classrooms in Northeast Iowa. See page 6 for completed details in English and Spanish.
