The deadline to sign up for summer driver education is this Friday, Feb. 18, Anyone having questions about the class should call the school at 563-864-7651 ext. 401.


Fire Dept. Casino Night is Feb. 19
The annual Postville Fire Department Casino night will be held Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Fire Station from 7 p.m. to midnight. Admission includes food and beverages. Door prizes will be awarded. See details on page seven.


Lions Club Fish Fry is this week
The Annual Lions Club Fish Fry will be held Feb. 18 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The menu includes fish, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw and beverage. There will be door prizes and also raffle prizes. All proceeds will go to Dollars for Scholars and other community youth projects.

The circus is
coming to town
The Jose Cole Circus will be performing in the Postville High School gym Tuesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Citizens State Bank, Jacob's Table, Postville State Bank, Postville Visitor Center, Wishing Well, as well as at the door. Dollars for Scholars
Phone-a-thon
The Postville District Dollars for Scholars plan to conduct their annual Phone-A-Thon on Tuesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday, Feb. 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening. Members of the Senior Class will make the calls. Their goal is to have 300 folks donate a total of $7,500 or more. If you do not receive a call from a senior, you can still donate to Postville Dollars for Scholars at PO Box 2, Postville, IA 52162.

President's Day is Feb. 21
Area banks, the Post Office and most county and state offices will be closed in honor of the day.
