Waukon, Kee football teams to host first-round State Play-Offs Wednesday

The Waukon and Kee football teams will each open State Football Play-Off action at home this Wednesday, October 30, both games beginning at 7 p.m. Look for Spirit Banners in this week's Standard newspaper or at each high school or sponsoring businesses early this week to proudly display your support for the Indians and Hawks during their play-off journeys.

WAUKON HOSTS MONTICELLO
The Waukon football team will host the Monticello Panthers this Wednesday at the Waukon High School football field. Monticello comes into the game with a 6-3 overall record on the season, finishing as Class 2A District 4's number-three seed with a 5-2 mark following a 43-13 win this past Friday over Northeast Goose Lake.

KEE HOSTS NORTHWOOD-KENSETT
The Kee football team will play host to Northwood-Kensett this Wednesday at the Kee High School football field. Just like the Hawks, the visiting Vikings hold a 6-3 overall record, finishing as Eight-Player District 3's number-three seed with a 5-2 district record following a 64-50 loss to District 3 champion Don Bosco this past Friday.
