Dorchester man cited for drunk driving after crash

A Dorchester man was injured Thursday, March 3, 2005, in a single-vehicle accident on Dorchester Drive.

According to the report, Layne H. Christensen, 50, was traveling west on the road around 6:10 p.m. when he struck a guard rail. The vehicle went over the guard rail and into the ditch, hitting numerous small trees before coming to rest.

Christensen was transported to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon and later cited for failing to maintain control, driving with a suspended license, and driving while intoxicated.

His 1994 Ford F150 truck had damage estimated at $6,500. The guard rail, property of Allamakee County, sustained $2,000 in damage.
