Earl M. Hanson



Earl M. Hanson, 83, died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI March 23, 2005. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9 in Verona, WI. He chose to be cremated.

Earl M. Hanson was born August 15, 1921, in Waukon, the son of Nels and Alvina (Meier) Hanson. He graduated from Waukon High School and served in the United States Navy from 1942-1945.

February 24, 1946, he and his wife Francis were married in Decorah. Earl worked for the U.S. Army in Civil Service, and the Hansons lived in Savanna, IL and Elkhorn, WI. Earl was active in the Savanna Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

Survivors include his children: Larry of Elgin, IL, Wayne of Boscobel, WI, Kevin of Alhambra, CA, and Robert of Verona, WI; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three siblings, Milton, Ruby Rogen, and Elmer (Sonny).
