Marie (Brennan) Binsfeld

Anna Marie (Brennan) Binsfeld, age 77 of Onalaska, WI passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, March 3, 2005. Visitation was held Sunday, March 6 at Dickenson Funeral Home in LaCrosse and at the St. James Catholic Church on Monday until the Liturgy of Christian Burial. Burial was held in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in LaCrosse.
Marie was born August 27, 1927 in Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of the late James F. Brennan and Kathryn E. Mullarkey. She was a 1945 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Lansing and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she met her husband, Roger.
Marie married Roger Binsfeld at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, LaCrosse on June 13, 1949. After leaving AMrquette, Marie and Roger moved to LaCrosse and raised two children, Tony and Kathy. Marie was involved in the management of J.F. Brennan Co., founded by her father. Marie and Roger lived on Nakomis Avenue overlooking the Black River for 36 years. They traveled extensively, visiting 6 continents. In 1999, Marie and Roger celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Marie was known for her gracious Irish hospitality and friendliness.
Marie is survived b y her husband, Roger F. Binsfeld on Onalaska; a son, Anthony (Barb) Binsfled of LaCrosse; a daughter, Kathryn (David) Karademas of Milwaukee; and nine grandchildren: Matthew Binsfeld, LaCrosse; Mark Binsfeld, New Orleans; Michael Binsfeld, W. Lafayette, IN; Adam Binsfled, Tempe, AZ; Brittany, LaCrosse; Claudia, Eva, Anastasia and Sophia Karademas, Milwaukee. Brothers and sister-in-laws: Joseph Binsfeld, Scottsdale, AZ; Virginia (Eugene) Kershek, Brookfield, WI; Richard Binsfeld, Sheboygan, WI; Harold Hesse, Appleton, WI and Mary (Ralph) Brennan, LaCrosse. She is also survived by various cousins in Lansing as well as some beloved friends of many years.
Marie was preceded in death by her father James F. Brennan in 1971 and her mother Kathryn Mullarkey in 1937, her stepmother, Dorothy A. Malay in 1987, and a brother Ralph J. Brennan of LaCrosse in 1984.
