Meth & More Forum and Reasonable Suspicion Training offered Mar. 22

Methamphetamine (Meth) use is a growing concern within area communities, but few understand the effects of meth use or the dangers associated with its production. To help better understand this drug, a training session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 from 8:30-12 Noon at the Decorah Auditorium.

The cost for the training is $20 per person. This program will meet the mandatory requirements for drug test training for reasonable suspicion and more.

The presentation will be on methamphetamine use: 1) How to recognize signs of meth use, 2) How to stop its production and use, 3) What procedures to follow if meth use is suspected, and 4) Reasonable Suspicious drug training.

Presenters include: Kim Kudej, Public Affairs, Department of Justice; Kevin Smith, Community Prevention Liaison with the Iowa Department of Public Health; Lynne Zoulek, Helping Services for Northeast Iowa; and local law enforcement officials.

Make plans to attend this training program. It is recommended that all area businesses attend this training. Northeast Iowa Community College, Iowa Workforce Development, Decorah Chamber of Commerce, City of Decorah and the Northeast Iowa Employer Council of Iowa sponsor this training program.
